The Najad 360 is one of several successful models from Orust-based Najadvarvet. The model was manufactured between 1984-1995 with a total of approximately 215 hulls built. The Najad 360 is a solid boat that is suitable for both coastal and ocean sailing.
A keel that is integrated with the hull (without keel bolts), a well-protected deep centre cockpit, fixed windscreen and the solid rudder construction are design features that are appreciated by many ‘salty’ sailors around the world.
The interior includes an aft cabin with a double berth to starboard and a smaller single berth to port. In the bow there is a guest cabin with a V-berth. Directly adjacent to the saloon steps there is a toilet and navigation table to starboard, as well as a longitudinal kitchen to port. The saloon is traditional with two sofas and a folding table. There is plenty of storage space throughout the boat.
Najad 360, CARMIN was delivered in 1992 in 3/4 manufacture from the shipyard and was completed by 3 employees from the shipyard in a hall right next door. She has had just one owner and has been well taken care of. CARMIN has mainly been sailed in Scandinavian waters.
During the winter CARMIN has been stored indoors. The boat has been professionally serviced and upgraded over the years, which is one of the reasons for the unusually fine general condition of this almost 33-year-old, super stylish and well-built boat.
We’ve owned CARMIN since she was new and have been so pleased with her. A fantastic and excellent sailboat, perfect both for calm sailing and for sailing in challenging conditions. Her build quality is outstanding, both the hull and the beautiful woodwork. We’ve always stored her indoors during the winter season and have serviced and upgraded her equipment and sails. Her upkeep has been a winter hobby for us when not sailing. Mostly, we’ve sailed in Scandinavia, but also in Germany and the Netherlands. Since we are now getting older, we’ve decided to sell our beloved CARMIN, and we hope she will continue sailing for many more years and be well taken care of.
