Broker's Comments

The Dufour 390 is a modern and well-balanced sailing yacht that combines excellent sailing performance with a high level of comfort, generous living spaces and a well-thought-out layout. The model features an elegant yet powerful design with clean lines, generous hull volume and a shape that delivers both strong performance under sail and impressive space on board. The result is a yacht equally well suited to comfortable family cruising and extended holidays as it is to sailors who appreciate active and rewarding sailing.

The cockpit is spacious and thoughtfully designed, with twin helm stations providing excellent visibility and creating a natural passage through the boat. Generous seating provides plenty of room for family and guests, making the cockpit the natural social centre of the yacht. It also features a practical cockpit galley with a gas stove and sink, a much-appreciated feature that makes it easy to prepare meals and enjoy outdoor living on warm days and evenings. At the stern, a large folding bathing platform creates a generous area close to the water when lowered, making swimming and boarding both easy and comfortable.

Below deck, the interior is bright and welcoming, with Dufour making excellent use of the yacht’s generous hull volume. The saloon provides comfortable social areas and plenty of natural light, while the galley and storage spaces have been designed with functionality and comfort in mind for longer stays on board.

This Dufour 390, JOY features the attractive three-cabin layout, with a spacious owner’s cabin forward and two separate aft cabins. Together with two heads, this provides a highly comfortable arrangement for both family cruising and longer trips with friends and guests. The combination of separate cabins, generous social spaces and two heads allow several people to stay on board for extended periods while maintaining both comfort and privacy.

JOY is a 2023 model and is being sailed by her first owner couple who have spent 3 seasons sailing in the Stockholm archipelago and the last season on the Swedish west coast. The yacht has an extensive equipment specification with a clear focus on comfortable sailing and easy handling, even with a small crew.

The yacht is powered by a 50 hp Volvo Penta engine and is equipped with both bow and stern thrusters, making manoeuvring easy and reassuring even in confined marinas. For convenient anchoring, JOY is also equipped with electric anchor windlasses at both the bow and stern. Sail handling is made easy with in-mast furling and a self-tacking jib, while two electric winches further enhance comfort and ease of use – an excellent combination for anyone wishing to sail efficiently and comfortably with a small crew.

For navigation, JOY is equipped with a modern Raymarine navigation system, providing a well-integrated navigation environment at the helm stations.

During the winter of 2026/27, JOY will be stored indoors at Vindö Marin.

In summary, JOY is a modern and well-equipped Dufour 390 of an attractive model year, offered by her first owner and with a specification that provides a high level of comfort both under sail and in harbour – ready for many new sailing adventures with her next owner.
