The Maxi 1050 is a highly successful boat model designed by Pelle Petterson. Launched in 2002, it quickly became a favourite among sailors thanks to its excellent sailing performance, spaciousness, and smart design solutions. With a sleek hull shape and a modern sail plan, it excels in upwind sailing and provides a top-class sailing experience. Pelle Petterson is renowned for his ability to combine elegant lines with practical solutions, and the 1050 is no exception. The cockpit offers plenty of space, and the swim platform is appreciated by everyone onboard.
The interior features elegant teak woodwork, creating a light and airy atmosphere. The forward cabin is spacious, and like the aft cabin, it offers room for a double berth. In the saloon, there is ample storage with cupboards and shelves on both sides. On the port side, there is an L-shaped sofa, and on the starboard side, a straight one, both with good length and suitable for use as berths at night. On the starboard side near the companionway is a forward-facing navigation station, and aft, there is a bright bathroom with a wet locker. The galley is L-shaped and located on the port side, with direct access to the cockpit.
MAXINA is a fine example from 2002 and she was delivered in 2003. She has updated mainsail and lazy-bag from Lundh Sails and has undergone a major engine service with new bellow for the s-drive and replaced exhaust elbow. At the helmsman position you find a modern plotter from Garmin and anchors in both bow and stern. Maxi 1050, MAXINA, with her 35 feet, is the perfect size for exploring the Swedish west coast. She allows you to easily find a berth in a natural harbour, yet she is still big enough to accommodate the whole family.
We have sailed MAXINA for 8 seasons. We’ve visited places such as Denmark, Skanör, Norway, Lake Vänern, and of course, our west coast. She is a safe, stable, and fast boat with excellent helm responsiveness. As a cruising boat, her ample storage and a spacious cockpit with easy access to the swim platform are particularly appreciated. She is also very easy to manoeuvre in marinas.
