The aim for the successful design of the Najad 355 was to create an exclusive and comfortable sailboat with good sailing performance. Like other yachts in Najad’s fleet, the model can be handled efficiently and safely by a small crew. The ergonomically designed and comfortable cockpit has a fixed windshield that protects and at the same time provides good visibility. The deck layout is well thought out and equipment is top quality from bow to stern. The Najad 355 has a nice feeling at the helm and she is fun to sail.
The interior is made with the best possible finish and fit by the Najad yard – practical solutions combined with superb craftsmanship! There is a bright and spacious saloon where you have access to both a navigation area, an L-shaped kitchenette and a light toilet with a shower wall and wet wardrobe. In the bow there is a V-berth and aft a spacious double berth; in both cabins there are wardrobes and good storage facilities.
Najad 355, THYNORA, has since the summer of 2021 been sailed by her current second owner. She is a yacht in very good condition that has been sailed on the west coast and has always been stored indoors for the winter. Service and maintenance have been carried out by the same yard since new.
THYNORA has a high level of equipment; she has bow thruster and retractable thruster in the stern, and electric windlasses with stainless steel anchors. In the saloon there is a new TV with surround system from BOSE. She also has a charger with an inverter which, together with a new solar cell, supplies the batteries efficiently. The latest addition on board is a new plotter, AIS and new autopilot – everything for full control of the navigation.
We bought THYNORA because the Najad 355 combines great performance with solid build quality from Orust. We are the second owners and were fortunate to find a yacht that had been well cared for by her first owner, who stored her every winter in a heated indoor facility at a well-renowned full-service yard, and had maintained her since new.
We have continued to let the same yard take care of her, and as a result, her condition is excellent—both technically and aesthetically. This means she is just as well-maintained as when we took ownership. Unfortunately, we haven’t used her as much as she deserves, so she has been very lightly sailed and is therefore in unusually good condition.
