The Najad 361 is a developed version of its very popular predecessor – the Najad 360. Both boats are solid center cockpit boats of the highest quality. The Najad 361 is designed and built for comfortable sailing, whether you are sailing close to the coast or planning longer sailing trips on the great seas. Hull and deck are in sandwich laminate with divinycell core. The boat has a lead keel and a skeg hung rudder. In short, a well-insulated boat (good in both cold and warm climates) that offers good sailing properties and smooth movements even when the wind is blowing and the waves are higher than normal…

The layout includes an aft cabin with two wide single berths, longitudinal galley, navigation area and heads with shower is located at the entrance, saloon with two sofas and folding table and a forepeak with v-berth.

This Najad 361 is a 3/4 build, that was completed by the boat’s first owner who aimed to build the boat to be suitable for long-distance sailing. The mast is slightly higher than standard and the keel slightly heavier. The boat has a strong bow platform and is equipped with two headsails and back stays. There is one electric winch that is designed to simplify sail handling. The anchor box is specially designed and includes a large space for the storing of fenders.

The storage locker in the cockpit has been modified to include a workshop and good storage space. Most floorboards have detachable hatches with storage space underneath.

The first owner used the boat for trips in Nordic waters (Norway, England, Shetland, etc.). Second and third owners have mainly sailed in Swedish and Scandinavian waters. The boat has been stored, serviced and upgraded at Orust Yacht Service for the past few years. Najad 361 CALYPSO is a nice and well-maintained boat that is ready for new adventures…
