Broker's Comments

The Swan 46 stands as one of the most iconic models produced by the renowned Finnish shipyard Nautor Swan, with an impressive 109 units built between 1983 and 1997. This success is a testament to the exceptional collaboration between the shipyard and designer German Frers.

Renowned for both performance and elegance, the Swan 46 is a superb cruising yacht that has also proven its racing pedigree, claiming victories in prestigious events such as the Rolex Swan European Regatta and the Rolex Swan World Cup—true benchmarks for Swan yachts.

A Swan’s unmistakable lines set it apart, promising superior craftsmanship, meticulous attention to detail, and an unparalleled sailing experience. Designed for both safety and performance, the Swan 46 offers excellent manoeuvrability, even with a small crew, thanks to its well-balanced hull and thoughtfully arranged deck layout. Like all Swan models, the 46 provides a level of design and construction that far exceeds that of standard production yachts, something that becomes especially evident in demanding offshore conditions.

BLÅKLINT, this particular Swan 46, has been carefully maintained and is in good condition. For more than 25 years, the current owner has ensured that she receives professional servicing and has been stored in a heated indoor facility at Vindö Marin during the winter months. The yacht is equipped with a hydraulic furling system for the forestay and mast. In combination with a bow thruster and electric winches, this makes her easy to handle both under sail and in smaller marinas. She has the tall rig, which gives her excellent performance even in lighter winds. Thanks to the shallow draft keel, she can access more anchoring spots in the archipelago. She has been upgraded with new instruments from Raymarine and has recently received new batteries.

Owner's Comments

BLÅKLINT was owned from June 1985 to 1995 by Ferdinand Piëch, a well-known figure in both Porsche and Volkswagen. During this time, the yacht was kept in Lake Constance (Bodensee) in freshwater and was used very sparingly.

After that, the yacht was purchased by Dr. Wiesel in Flensburg, who sailed with his family in the Baltic Sea until the fall of 1999. She then had another owner before finally becoming part of our family in June 2000. Since then, we have sailed BLÅKLINT along the coasts of Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. Every year, we have spent between six and eight weeks on board, which means we have lived on BLÅKLINT for over three years in total and have enjoyed her immensely, without any issues. Everything has run smoothly, thanks to Vindö Marin’s annual service and warm indoor storage.

Due to my age, it is now time to find a new crew for BLÅKLINT.
