The Najad 405 is a seaworthy, well-built and comfortable 40-foot family cruiser. A yacht with appealing lines capable of taking you and your crew anywhere. The Najad 405 is equally suitable to the ocean adventurer as to the gentler life of costal cruising and island hopping.
The Najad 405 belongs to the newer generation of Najad yachts. The hull design includes a fin keel and a free hanging rudder. The modern yet classic mahogany interior is designed by Rhodes Young and built by the skilled crafts men at the Najad yard.
The Najad 405 offers a two-cabin layout. The aft owner’s cabin has a wide centred double berth and the forward guest cabin offers a v-berth. The longitude galley, the navigation table and the heads with shower are all located directly at the entrance stairs. The saloon has two sofas and a table with a folding side which allows for easy passages to the forward part of the yacht.
Most sail handling is efficiently done from the centre cockpit. In cold and rainy climates, you will find great protection behind the windscreen and sprayhood. The teak deck is not just beautiful but also offeris super good grip when working on the deck.
This Najad 405 SVEA was delivered in 2008. It was used in Scandinavian waters by its first owner. We sold her in 2018 to the current second owners. They spent a year to get to know SVEA and prepared her for a proper sailing trip of around 15.000 Nm, which took about 14 months, and went from Scandinavia through Europe to Caribbean, Bahamas, East Coast USA and Canada, Greenland and back to Scandinavia.
SVEA has now been at “home” since the end of 2020. The owners have new land-based plans. SVEA is an interesting yacht that is looking forward to go sailing again. She has just left her winter port in Kristianstad (Norway) and is now available at our showing dock in Henån.
