The Degerö 33 DS is an impressive deck saloon yacht, designed by Hans Groop, who is also behind the well-known H-boat. This model is built according to Finnish boatbuilding traditions and adheres to standards of the the highest quality. Describing Degerö’s philosophy, Risto Kristeri explained:
“Our goal was to create high-quality sailing yachts, handcrafted from beginning to end, using the best materials available.”
Risto Kristeri and Seppo Mäkelä founded the Degerö shipyard in 1980, and since then, Degerö boats have become known for their reliability and quality. The founders of the shipyard have always strived to create well-built, safe boats, made from the best materials and with great care in every detail.
Degerö 33 DS AVRA is a great example of this. Equipped with a conventional mast, a mainsail with stack-pack and lazy-jacks, a furling genoa, and a self-tacking jib, the yacht offers an excellent sailing experiences in all conditions. The cockpit is spacious and protected, feeling large for a 33-footer, and the cockpit lockers provide very good storage space. The hull has an integrated swim platform to stern.
When you step inside the yacht, you will find a light and spacious deck saloon with a comfortable sofa, a table, and an inside helm area. Behind the helm, there is a cabin with a double berth. Forward of the deck saloon, you will find a longitudinal galley on the starboard side and heads to port. Under the deck saloon sofa, there is a berth for 1-2 people, and in the bow, there is a cabin with a double berth. There is plenty of storage space throughout the boat, making it suitable for longer voyages.
The Degerö 33 DS is a boat that offers high quality, comfort, and functionality, making it an excellent choice for sailors who plan on long term sailing and liveaboard.
