The Hallberg-Rassy 39 is a highly popular model from the renowned Hallberg-Rassy yard at Orust – Sweden. Once again, the collaboration between Germán Frers and Hallberg-Rassy was successful, resulting in a model that has been in production for over 10 years and with more than 200 units built. Boats manufactured between 1991 and 1994 are MKI, while the MKII was produced until 2003. The most significant visual difference between these versions is the recessed stern with an integrated bathing platform in the MKII. The rest of the hull, sailplan, keel and rudder is the same. Why change a winning concept!

The Hallberg-Rassy 39 model provides excellent comfort with two cabins, a spacious saloon featuring a seagoing galley, a navigation area, and a well-lit, spacious toilet compartment. In the owner’s cabin, there are two separate beds with a central seat. As you enter the boat, the U-shaped galley is conveniently positioned to starboard, offering optimal support to the chef, especially while sailing, without disrupting the boat’s natural flow.

The HR39 boasts remarkable attributes, including a well-protected cockpit with a fixed windscreen, ample storage space throughout, large tanks for water and diesel and a hull design that ensures a natural and comfortable motion—making it the ideal choice for bluewater cruising. Hallberg-Rassy has a stellar reputation for their interior woodwork, and the 39 model lives up to this standard. The light mahogany with a matte silk finish, coupled with exquisite craftsmanship, imparts an exclusive ambiance onboard.

This Hallberg-Rassy 39, VILJA, is still sailing with her first owner. The owner explored the Mediterranean sea between 2004 and 2007 and after that this yacht only been used in Scandinavia. The owner has really taken good care of her, service and maintenance has been professionally made at Vindö Marin. VILJA has been updated and upgraded during the years. The mast has been converted with the new electric furling system from Seldén Mast, a new plotter from B&G with a sleek installation at the companionway, the underwater body has been renewed and the stripe is shiny blue. This is only a few things in addition to the already long list of equipment that was delivered from Hallberg-Rassy in 2000.
