Sweden Yachts 50 - Sold

The first Sweden Yachts 50 was launched in 1987 and was a success for the boatyard. A total of 19 yachts were built over the next 10 years. It is easy to understand why this model was so appreciated by their owners and admired by all sailors that look at her. The hull and deck are constructed of end-grain balsa core between hand-laid fiberglass rowing and mat. The result is not only a strong, stiff and light ship but also a yacht that will keep her high gloss finish for long time. This Sweden Yachts 50 is really unique. She was delivered in 1989 to her first owner. Only two years later she was sold to her current owner with whom she has stayed for 30 years. The owner has used her for family sailing every summer, mostly in the Baltic Sea and no further west than Denmark. She has been gently taken care of and updated over the years. Recently she has had her mast replaced with an electrical furling mast from Seldén and a bow thruster has been installed. She is a fast sailor and very easy to handle with a small crew, you can easily sail her shorthanded. The yacht has been stored indoors for the winter and service is professionally maintained.
