Berthon publishes an annual market report, which reviews and reports on boat sales during the previous year and tries to look ahead, towards what we believe will be important trends and changes in the coming year.
Market Report 2024 (ENG, 6.33MB)
In our market report, you will also find insightful articles from our specialized boat brokers, about how trends, world events and politics have shaped the boat market over the past year. We also share our forecast for the coming year.
Berthon Scandinavia specializes in the sale of second-hand sailboats and motorboats between 30-80 feet, manufactured from around 1990 until today, built by reputable Swedish and Scandinavian shipyards. We also work with newer boat models from European shipyards and act as an exclusive agent for Solaris Yachts (of Italy) in Scandinavia.
Most boats Berthon Scandinavia deals with have Swedish or Scandinavian owners. The boats are usually located in Sweden/Scandinavia or northern Europe, but we also handle boats located in the rest of Europe, USA and the Caribbean.
Our sales office is located in Orust, in the middle of the harbor in Henån. Here, in addition to a complete international boat broker service, we can also offer space at our viewing dock, indoor viewing spaces and a well-protected guest harbor. We also have the opportunity to offer all conceivable yacht services, yacht refits and winter storage in collaboration with the local service shipyards.
At Berthon, we have just over 20 colleagues, who all work together to find the right buyer for the right boat. Our offices are in England, Sweden, Spain, and the USA.
Of course, we use worldwide marketing via digital advertising, print media and participate in relevant international boat shows and events.
We also inform about 50 external boat brokers monthly about the boats we have for sale and invite cooperation and, in accordance with accepted international boat broker practice, sharing of the fee with those who present buyers to “our” boats. The boats we mediate become very quickly visible to many potential buyers in Scandinavia, the rest of Europe and other countries.
