The Malö 37 Classic perfectly embodies the qualities that have made Malö Yachts one of Scandinavia’s most respected yacht builders. Combining superb craftsmanship, timeless design and reassuring offshore capability, she offers an enjoyable and confidence-inspiring sailing experience. Although officially a 37-footer, her overall length is close to 39 feet, and her generous beam, clever layout and remarkably spacious interior give her the feel of a much larger yacht.
Designed with both comfort and sailing pleasure in mind, the Malö 37 offers a responsive yet forgiving sailing experience. Her efficient fractional rig, generous sail plan and long waterline provide excellent performance in a wide range of conditions, while the powerful hull shape and broad stern deliver reassuring stability and easy handling. Whether sailing short-handed, cruising with family or embarking on extended passages, she inspires confidence at the helm.
Below deck, the atmosphere is warm, bright and unmistakably Scandinavian. The spacious saloon, practical L-shaped galley, dedicated navigation station and comfortable accommodation create a welcoming environment both at sea and in harbour. Like all Malö yachts, she reflects the yard’s reputation for meticulous joinery, thoughtful engineering and outstanding attention to detail.
On deck, the layout is clean, uncluttered and designed for safe movement, with all sail handling controls positioned for efficient short-handed sailing. The result is a yacht that is equally enjoyable for relaxed coastal cruising as for ambitious offshore adventures.
This Malö 37 Classic, FILIPA, is the very last Malö 37 to leave the yard, delivered as late as 2014. She has been carefully maintained by her first and only owner and has seen only light use throughout her life. During the past two seasons she has not been used at all and has been winter stored indoors in Kungsviken, ensuring she has been exceptionally well preserved.
As one of the very last Malö 37s built, FILIPA also benefits from several modern refinements introduced towards the end of the production run. These include halyards and control lines led below deck and aft to the cockpit, together with sleek, flush-mounted deck hatches, giving her a cleaner deck layout, improved functionality and a more contemporary appearance.
Well-equipped from new, FILIPA has also benefited from several important upgrades in recent years, including new navigation electronics, a new heating system and a new hot water calorifier.
This is a rare opportunity to acquire one of the final Malö 37 Classics ever built, presented in condition that is remarkably close to new.

FILIPA has been much more than a yacht to us, she has truly been a member of our family. My wife and I have cared for her with great pride, affection and attention to every detail throughout our years together.
Every winter she has been stored indoors on Orust, where she was built, and all annual servicing and maintenance have been carried out professionally. We have always believed that careful maintenance is the key to preserving both the value and the enjoyment of owning a quality yacht.
Each spring we sailed her from Orust to our summer berth in the outer Oslofjord, near Tønsberg, returning again each autumn. Together we explored the beautiful coastline of southern Norway and the Swedish west coast, creating countless unforgettable memories in all kinds of weather. FILIPA has always looked after us, whether enjoying peaceful summer evenings at anchor or crossing open waters in more demanding conditions.
Before FILIPA, we owned an earlier Malö yacht, and when the time came to buy another boat, we never considered any other builder. The quality, craftsmanship and seaworthiness of Malö yachts have always impressed us. Compared with our previous long-keel yacht, FILIPA’s more modern hull design has been a delight. She is exceptionally easy to manoeuvre, even in crowded marinas, reversing predictably and turning within her own length, giving complete confidence and control. At sea, she remains reassuringly stable and comfortable, even in rough conditions.
When we retired in 2021, our dream was to move to north-western Norway, where we now live, and continue sailing in the wake of the Vikings to Shetland, the Faroe Islands, Ireland and beyond. Sadly, declining health has made it impossible for us to realise those plans.
For that reason, we have decided that it is time for FILIPA to find a new owner. We sincerely hope she will be loved and cared for as she has been by us, and that she will continue to reward her next owners with many years of unforgettable adventures, happiness and safe sailing.
