The Solaris 50 won the Performance Cruiser of the Year award at the European Yachting Awards when it first launched in 2015 and marked a new era for the company with its revolutionary design. Aspects of this same design can now be seen throughout the entire Solaris fleet, thanks to the creative vision of designer Javier Soto Acebal, who combined South American and Italian styles.
The ‘brand-new’ Solaris 50, launched in 2022, maintains the brand’s trademark characteristics of exceptional sea keeping, performance, and ease of handling.
The Solaris 50 offers a variety of layout options, allowing for customization to suit individual needs. There are different interior finishes available, including modern light oak or traditional teak. The traditional layout features three cabins and two heads, with the owner’s cabin having its own en-suite.
Alternatively, you can add a third head and rearrange the galley. The forward cabin also offers a choice between an offset double with heads and separate shower or a centreline double as standard. Additionally, there is an option for a crew cabin in the large bow sail locker.
The deck is kept simple, with four ergonomically positioned winches in the cockpit, between the twin helms. Like all the Solaris fleet, the yacht has a self-tacking jib and optional fixed bowsprit, making it easy to use a gennaker or code 0. The transom features a wide, hydraulically operated door that facilitates easy deployment of the dinghy and provides ample space on the swim platform.
The Solaris 50 is a joy to sail; she is moves easy in light winds and accelerates rapidly. Please feel free to contact Berthon Scandinavia for further info!
