Freshly launched in 2020 to create a yacht that will set the precedent for the future of performance cruising yachts. The aim was to create a Mini-Maxi which means the yacht must be no longer than 18.31m allowing her to take part in Mini-Maxi racing. Including the prestigious Mini-Maxi Cup which takes place in the fabulous Porto Cervo every year. The Solaris 60 is the ultimate yacht for the family yachtsman who also wants to do a spot of enjoyable racing.
A big development on the Solaris 60 as is echoed through the rest of the fleet is her twin helms which are positioned well outboard. The helm has fantastic view down the deck all the way to the bow even when the sprayhood is up and giving the feeling and weightlessness of helming a yacht half her size. The luff of the jib is always in view from the helm, which is again rare on a 60ft yacht. This feature once again also helps in harbour and makes mooring a breeze.
Her lines are truly stunning and she turns heads where ever she sails. Her decks flow back beautifully and seamlessly to her helms a design feature often only seen on bigger yachts. At the bow there is the option of two different types of bow sprit aiding her stylish lines. Rig option of your choice depending on the sailing you want to do and well balanced by her keel with 2 draft options of 2.8m or 3.2m.
Below decks she embraces a modern design of full beam saloon and full beam galley forward of this. Up forward as is common place with the whole fleet there are 2 owner’s cabin options depending on your preference and the choice of crew cabin or large sail locker. Back in the saloon her engine is positioned centrally and again you can choose an option to suit your needs be it 75, 110 or 150hp.
Building a Solaris yacht is a special experience which allows you to build a beautiful yacht that does it all. She sails beautifully but also offers safety and comfort when at anchor or when sailing with the family.
