The Hallberg-Rassy 310 is a highly successful collaboration between Germán Frers and Hallberg-Rassy. The 310 not only boasts beautiful hull lines and a modern sail plan, but it has also demonstrated swift sailing performance and even won its class in the world’s largest sailing race, Tjörn Runt. Introduced in 2009, the model has seen 132 boats produced to date. However, production of this model has ceased, and it’s unlikely we’ll see any more 31-footers from Hallberg-Rassy’s Ellös shipyard. The Hallberg-Rassy 310 incorporates many typical features that link it to its larger sibling models, such as a windscreen, integrated rubbing strake, teak toe rail, and lead keel. All these elements blend seamlessly creating tantamount to a dream boat.

Hallberg-Rassy is renowned for their ability to create ample space in their boats, and this holds true for the Hallberg-Rassy 310 as well. This is evident in the presence of 10 portlights and 4 deck hatches, all of which are openable, providing excellent ventilation and natural light on board. The layout comfortably accommodates 6 persons, and stepping below deck reveals a surprisingly spacious feel. Both the fore and aft cabins feature roomy double berths, while the saloon’s convertible sofas offer additional sleeping space, along with plenty of storage. The galley is conveniently located to starboard at the base of the companionway and is equipped with a stove with oven, and a water-cooled compressor for the refrigerator. Within the saloon, a foldable table and two sofas are found, and a protective mat lines the floor. The toilet is bright, spacious, and has a composite countertop.

The cockpit offers space for all on board, and access to the bathing platform is provided through an aft opening, which can be closed if needed. Hallberg-Rassy 310 is not just visually appealing with generous spaces both below deck and in the cockpit; it’s also a perfect match for our Swedish coastline.

This Hallberg-Rassy 310, SELMA, has had only one owner who has predominantly sailed her along the west coast of Sweden. She is somewhat unique for a 310, being equipped with a furling mast, wheel steering, and bow thruster, attributes that provide her with a sensation of being a larger vessel within the Hallberg-Rassy family. The owner has diligently maintained and updated her over the years, and for this season, she received new laminate sails. Beyond her exceptional sails, she boasts an extensive equipment list including teak decks, a bowsprit, battery monitoring, inverter, and a heater, to name a few. SELMA has been stored indoors during the winter.
