The Hallberg-Rassy 46 is for many people (including myself) the perfect cruiser.
The interior is built in mahogany and the layout is cleverly designed, sleeping 7 people in 3 cabins. Galley and navigation area is located directly at the entrance. The center cockpit offers superb protection to any weather. The fixed windscreen offers great visibility, and together with the sprayhood, protects the crew on watch, from sun, rain and spray.
If you plan to sail in Nordic waters the sandwich constructed hull and deck, together with good ventilation, makes the environment onboard very comfortable.
This Hallberg-Rassy 46 NADINE has lived up to its reputation. It came back to Sweden on the 8th of August after a 4-year circumnavigation with a family crew (two adults and three children).
Before the trip NADINE had an overhaul at Adams Boat Care. Basic equipment such as rudder bearings, steering system, under water hull, rig and technical equipment were serviced, replaced, and updated.
NADINE has most of the equipment anyone would ask for. Hydraulic furling mainsail, two headsails and 4 electric winches, makes sail handling easy for one person. The navigation system is from 2017 and there are two separate autopilot systems. The 40 kg Spade anchor is famous for good holding. NADINE has davits in the stern as well as a stainless-steel arch, that carry solar panels, wind generator, radar and sat phone antenna. Obviously, there is a watermaker, a washing machine, and air conditioning on-board.
After four years sailing NADINE needs a proper polish work to shine again, the teak deck needs a service, a proper check through of the systems onboard is recommended – and NADINE is ready for new adventures!!
